Back to school for some and back to decorating for others.  The fall is always busy with returning from vacation and wanting to makeover a space for us, which inevitably starts with a can of paint!

We’ve been using the same favorites forever so thought it was about time we branch out.  We turned to Benjamin Moore obsessed  Colour Explosions color consultant Sarah Bertie to get the scoop on whats hot for fall 2015.  Here they are:

1. HC-166 Kendall Charcoal

This is a rich gray with lots of depth and character and can be teamed up with a variety of colours.

Although it’s dark, when paired with light colours, it really shines – bringing a warmth and liveliness to all colour.

2. CC-80 – Grey Mist

The gray neutral colour works great for open concept homes and bedrooms.

Not only is this colour good for walls but because it is a soft colour it works for cabinetry and furniture as well as trim.  If painted in a room that has a lot lighting this colour may seem lighter that it appears but that is to be expected with this colour being considered an off white.

3. HC-4 Hawthorne Yellow

Yellows are always hard to pick because you don’t want anything to bright to blind you but you don’t want anything to light either; this colour is right in the middle.

HC-4 Hawthorne Yellow 2

Being part of the historical collection, Hawthorne Yellow has a very subtle tone that feels like the warmth of the sun is in the room but the is still a richness to the colour.
