Word is they are supposed to make us feel more secure and reassured, or restore order and peace. After 2015’s crazy outbursts of completely unnecessary violence world wide we commend Pantone on doing their part, but me hardly thinks warm rose and cool blue are going to keep us orderly and peaceful for the next 365 days. What do you think?!
3 Reasons We Love Them
1. Their nod to gender equality and to a world with more tolerance. Every little bit absolutely counts, and if integrating this into homes and wardrobes instills more compassion or composure in one or two of us, we’re all for it.
2. Integrating it in the home is pretty.
3. You can do a lot or a little. While this might be a little too much for many
in lighter more subtle hues we’re digging it solo or with the combo.
All rooms point to a sense of calm or relaxation and whether you integrate one or both, intertwining them with items that are matte, metallic or glossy make for a fabulous combo. Other ideas include greens, purples, rich brown and yellow.
