With the launch of a steamy hot flick, 50 shades of grey seems to be all the rage recently. Seems only fitting that we explore the 50 shades of grey furniture and decor that had a timely launch — these ones a lot more cool, calm & collected of course!
Shagreen in grey – hot! Bethel launched everything from large items like the desk above to coffee tables, waste bins, picture frames and stools such as below.
It’s just a picture but we CAN’T wait to touch this Serge De Troyer lounge chair. As comfortable as it is elegant, it’s shown below with it’s sexy silhouettes in a phenomenally colored grey hair-on hide.
And then there’s this handmade shagreen cabinet with polish skull knobs — AND acrylic legs…nothing short of ABSOLUTELY spectactular!
From grey swirl enamel (left) to a milky bottle lamp (center) and gray crackle glaze (right), these Wildwood lamps ranging in shades from dove to taupe are instant classics in design’s most versatile color.
Minimalist times and neutral tones lead to a fabulous understated combination over at Lazy Susan. And while we see the au natural of wood we love the gray of this lightweight waxed concrete! Totally durable for indoor or outdoor use.
The VIG alexandrina sofa set below, in a tufted light grey fabric, is smooth to the touch. The oversized roll, black legs and nailhead trim finish it off perfectly.
More mid century modern-esque with tufted buttons and a grey fabric, the Anton set below has classic long tapered wooden legs.
With a heritage of craftsmanship dating back to 1865 just outside of Minneapolis, MI Faribault is one of the last vertical woolen mills still in use. An artifact of American history they loom timeless blankets, throws, accessories and apparel.
I mean who wouldn’t want to curl up in one of these blankets to ride out the winter?!
And but of course – wouldn’t these classics make a grey debut! We do love the combo with the natural legs however.
And then another Serge piece caught our eye. With wonderful texture the fish skin and polish chrome based floor lamp (top) would easily enrich any room. With clean tailored lines yet a sophisticated silhouette, its a truly versatile piece. Similarly the authentic shagreen floor lamp (bottom) would add that visual punctuation to a number of settings.
Seems we can’t stop – another brilliant SDT design. Who needs a bar cabinet?! High quality Italian leather evoking the art deco era, there is no shortage of storage space within. Think home office, living room, the study or a swanky corner office! No matter where it ends up the grey hue will melt into its’ surroundings but at the same time stand out as a star piece (so long as you stock it properly!)
