Pinterest is valued at $11 BILLION dollars, that’s double what it was worth last year. Word is they are also adding a “BUY” button so you don’t have to leave to shop in the near future. Are you on Pinterest yet? Follow us.
When news broke of Hooker Furniture nabbing Cynthia Rowley for a new line of furnishings we went bananas! Huge fans of her fashion (no seriously, have you ever tried her plain white T’s?!) we can’t WAIT to see what this partnership brings.
First it was Zara and now J. Crew is making a foray into home decor. What started as cute stationary and tech accessories, but decorative home items like throws, candles, glassware, and vases. Featuring products from such heavy hitters as John Derian and a brand we carry Ferm Living, we expect to see pillows, lighting and furniture next.
Another brand we carry, Zuo Modern, is rolling out a new line of geometric hide rugs. In one of their sourcing trips to Italy they found a great factory that all these hide leftovers and didn’t know what to do so Zuo got them at a great price and shipped them to their facility (in Mexico) and expanded their line up to include rugs. So far it’s only one size while they figure it out (5 x 8) but at the under $500 retail price point we’re sure they’ll figure that one out!
In anticipation of the Spring Highpoint Furniture Market April 18 -23 dates have been announced for product previews on March 2 and March 18. We’ll absolutely share the favorites in a sneak peak format shortly thereafter.
While you may not have taken note we’ve been counting – it’s been a 9 month debacle at the West coast shipping ports like that of Long Beach, CA. We are thrilled to report that all parties have reached a tentative agreement and cargo from ships will begin to be swiftly offloaded once again meaning the time to get to your door will return to normal!
