… you are about to be completely reformatted!  More than 40 years ago, Allan Palecek, son of a Kansas fame, began traveling the world seeking inspiration in a centuries-old tradition of basket-weaving from the indigenous peoples of Asia (Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines).

Amazed by their use of quickly renewable materials he returned home to design accessories with one goal in mind – make functional works of art from natural fibers.  His woven baskets became increasingly popular and led to an expanded product line thanks to a network of master artisans and his level of quality  (he’s a stickler for things like wrappings and corner blocking for extra strength)

Drawing inspiration from both craftsmen and materials, today Palecek mix natural fibers and weaving techniques with fast-growing hardwoods.

The result: a seriously elegant furniture, lighting and accessories line!  Isn’t it gorgeous?!
