It’s not hard to see why Macy’s is closing 40 of its stores , but never the less sad for the staff who will have to find new jobs. Whiles sales from those locations only tallied up to about 1% of their overall sales (or $300 million in 2014), it takes their store count down 5% from 810 to 730 in the last 5 years.
